Woody Allen is a schmock, (To borrow from his own jargon), a talented one, arguably, but he still plays in the " Smocks major league". Nobody loves to listen to Woody's tirades better than himself. Allen is a schmock, but to is credit, is an unrepentant one. Boris Yellnikoff, the principal character of "Whatever Works" is Woody Allen. Boris, like Allen, is constantly aware of the audience. Boris, like Allen is egocentric. Boris, like Allen thinks of himself as a genius. You know what?, He's, arguably, got a point! Because if Boris is Allen, then he is a master of his works. So Allen is back in New-York, back to making self-centered talky flicks and certainly back to form.
